Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council have resolved to grant planning consent to Inspired Villages’ hybrid planning application at Knowle for a retirement community of 170 residential units. The site is part of a wider site in the green belt that has been promoted by the landowners for residential development for a few years, and was allocated in the draft Local Plan. Inspired Villages applied to build on the northern part of the draft allocation. Our Transport Assessment and Travel Plan supported the application, and was complicated by the need to consider the cumulative scenario with a further 600 dwellings on the rest of the draft allocation.
